Blades Of Fire: Forgers Totem Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Most players walk past a Forger's Totem three times before understanding what it does. The stone monolith with a weapon carved into its face looks like scenery — and during most of the campaign, it essentially is.

What it becomes after defeating Queen Nerea is one of the most useful tools in the entire game for 100% completion.

There are 14 Forger's Totems across the campaign, one in each major area from Besacarr Hamlet to The Royal Palace. All 14 are documented on our complete Blades of Fire interactive game maps.

During the Story: Interact Early Even When Nothing Happens

Each Totem is encountered during normal story progression, usually near a Forger's Anvil or at a region entrance.

At this stage, Adso notes the object is petrified due to Queen's Magic — but interacting with it anyway adds it to the map, making it easier to find and return to later.

The Totem can only be fully activated once the equipped weapon matches the type carved into it — if it shows a Spear, equipping a Greatsword does nothing.

Completing the awakened challenge rewards rare crafting materials.

Post-Story: The Oracle Function and Two Secret Tiers

After the main campaign ends and Queen Nerea is defeated, every Forger's Totem transforms into a Forger's Oracle — a golden pillar. Interacting with an Oracle in any region reveals all remaining collectibles on the map for that area, split into two distinct marker types:

  • Silver Secrets — chests and lesser collectibles still uncollected in the region. Useful for tracking down missed Health Gems, Dyes, and weapon parts.

  • Golden Secrets — items that reward Blue Gems (Nerea's Tears). These are the highest-priority markers for any player still working toward the true ending, since Blue Gems are spent at Nerea's Statues to unlock Fragmented Tablets. Spotting a Golden Secret on the map means a missed Blue Gem source is nearby — follow it immediately.

Frozen Totems: One Extra Step

In the Niveous Realm (Chapter 3), several Totems are encased in Queen's Magic rather than simply petrified.

These require finding a nearby Iridescent Crow and leading it to the Totem to thaw the seal before interaction is possible — the same crow-following mechanic used to awaken Templars of the Sacred Steel in earlier regions.
